As a transformative First Lady, Mrs. Obama launched and led four key initiatives: Let’s Move!, to address the challenge of childhood obesity; Joining Forces, to support veterans, service members, and their families; Reach Higher, to inspire young people to seek higher education; and Let Girls Learn, to help adolescent girls around the world go to school.

Sévrine Labelle, President and CEO of Femmessor Québec, will host the discussion with Former First Lady Michelle Obama following her speech.


Four Brown Girls always wants to ensure that everyone gets equal opportunities to attend momentous events like this one. With the generosity and collaboration of the Chambers of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal, we are able to make this a reality. Win the opportunity to hear Michelle Obama speak at the Palais des Congres de Montreal on Monday February 5th in Montreal for a moment of empowerment, courtesy of the first African-American First Lady of the United States of America. Submit a one-minute video or less explaining why YOU should meet Michelle Obama, and what this means to YOU. Your video will have to include an inspiring quote from Mrs Obama as well.

How to Enter:

  • Prepare a one (1) minute or less video explaining why you deserve this opportunity and what Michelle Obama means to you.

  • Complete a form directly on our website under the contest page.

At the end of the contest, one winner will be announced through a wall post on Facebook and an Instagram post.


The Competition is open to all Black females Montreal, Quebec residents aged between 16 and 24 years old on the Competition commencement date. Individuals must be enrolled in school. (High School, college, university and or trade school.)

Eligibility requirements include a valid residential address, contact number and e-mail.

Participation in this contest is purely voluntary.

No purchase is necessary for participating in the Contest.

General Terms and Conditions:

This contest will be governed by the following standard Terms and Conditions:

Each participant agrees that he/she has read and understood these Terms and Conditions and by their participation in the contest, each participant agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions. Mere participation should not be perceived as any commitment on the part of Four Brown Girls to select a participant as the winner. Nothing herein amounts to a commitment by Four Brown Girls to conduct further, similar or other contests in future.

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the promotion will be directed to Four Brown Girls, not Facebook or Twitter.

Incomplete information provided or failure to provide true and accurate information as stated in these Terms and Conditions, failure to submit proof of identification upon collection of the Prize will automatically disqualify the participant.

Four Brown Girls shall have the absolute and sole discretion to determine whether any participant should be disqualified by reason of failure to abide by these Terms and Conditions, bad faith, fraud or any other legitimate reason.

Four Brown Girls reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions of this contest, including extending, withdrawing or discontinuing the same without notice, without assigning any reason, at its sole discretion without any liability.

There is no cash alternative to the stated prizes, and the prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Four Brown Girls reserves the right to substitute either any part of Prize or whole Prize for similar prize of equal or greater value.

Four Brown Girls shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever for any claims, losses, damage, costs or expenses in connection with or arising from this Competition, the redemption or use of the Prizes.

To the extent only permitted by applicable law, Four Brown Girls reserves the right to use the winner’s image, photograph, name and likeness in post-promotion publicity material and in advertising, marketing or promotional material in any media by any means throughout the world for any purpose connected with the products/services of Four Brown Girls without additional compensation or prior notice to the winner and all participants consent to the same.

Copyrighted, obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. Four Brown Girls retains sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.

Four Brown Girls reserves the right to request proof of a participant's eligibility in the event that there is a doubt over his/her eligibility for the promotion.

Subject to applicable laws, Four Brown Girls shall not be liable for any losses, taxes, liabilities or inconvenience suffered by any participant as a result of these terms and conditions, entering into this Competition or accepting any part of the Prize. Four Brown Girls shall not be liable under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or for this Competition or using the Prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and Four Brown Girls and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

Four Brown Girls accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this Contest.

Four Brown Girls does not accept responsibility for (1) lost, late or undelivered entries or (2) any technical or access issue, failure, malfunction or difficulty that might hinder the ability of a participant to enter the Competition or (3) any event which may cause the Competition to be disrupted or corrupted. In addition to these Terms & Conditions, other specific terms may be imposed by Four Brown Girls from time to time to deal with any unforeseen situation. Four Brown Girls also reserves the absolute right to change the Terms and Conditions contained herein and, or, any other rules and regulations in respect of the Competition at any time without any notice, the itinerary, without assigning any reason and without any liability whatsoever. Participants are requested to refer to such other Terms and Conditions, if any, which may be intimated separately as Four Brown Girls considers fit. However, no obligation is cast on Four Brown Girls to separately intimate each individual participant with regard to such additional Terms and Conditions. Four Brown Girls may (i) extend (ii) terminate or suspend the Competition at any time due to circumstances beyond its control (iii) substitute a prize (or any part of a Prize).

Five (5) Winners of the contest will be selected basis a luck of the draw of the answer entries that fulfill the eligibility criteria.

The Winner will be eligible to a trip sponsored by Four Brown Girls to Toronto Canada on Tuesday November 28th, 2017.

The prize is limited to Travel from Montreal to Toronto by Bus or and Train.

Meals will not be provided and are not included in prize. All mentioned arrangements will be made by Four Brown Girls after receiving the necessary details from the Winner as per the below mentioned itinerary.


  • 28th November 2017:
  • 12:00 am bus ride from Montreal to Toronto. (*overnight)
  • 6:30 am arrival into Toronto.
  • 7:00 am - 9:30 am prep time (changing clothes getting ready, opportunity to purchase breakfast).
  • 10:30 am - 1:00 pm Michelle Obama Conference.
  • 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Networking, pictures and opportunity to purchase lunch.
  • 5:00 pm bus/train return to Montreal.
  • *pickup and drop off location TBA


Any Minor participating in this contest must have the permission of their Legal Guardian.

Legal Guardians will be contacted to confirm such permission.

Legal Guardian Consent Agreement: 

This Guardian Consent Agreement (this “Agreement”), effective as of November 28th, 2017, by and between Four Brown Girls and Legal Guardian is made in reference to the following:

Legal Guardian has authorized the minor participating in the Four Brown Girls Contest, to participate, pursuant to the above-mentioned Terms and Conditions.

Legal Guardian hereby consents to the production, distribution, exhibition, performance, including advertising and publicity of the Product as described in the Contest Rules.

Four Brown Girls shall not be held liable for Minors that do not adhere to the Terms and Conditions or Rules while participating in the contest.
